Lamar Loans LLC is an organization committed to being "Your" Hometown Financial Source for personal loans, merchandise financing and personal tax service. Lamar Loans opened in May of 2000. The company is owned and operated by its founder, Tammy Huffman.
Tammy brought eleven years of lending experience with her when she ventured out of the familiar world of the corporate financial services market to open her own financial services office. Seeking investors for her adventure, Tammy secured sound financial backing and after meeting licensing requirements, Lamar Loans was opened at 2407 Lamar Avenue, Suite B in Paris, TX. In the Spring of 2006 Lamar Loans expanded its services to include personal tax services and is a proud affiliate with PTSTAX Financial Services of Calhoun,GA. In the fall of 2006 Lamar Loans again expanded their services to the public by opening Hometown Furniture Source, home furnishings for every lifestyle.
Starting the business with no clientele, Lamar Loans LLC has grown to include over 800 in its customer base during the first five years of business. Tammy remains active in the community and serves on several boards of local charities and civic organizations.
Tammy D Huffman, Owner/Manager
Tammy Huffman began her career in 1987 as a Customer Service Representative for Blazer Financial Services in Sherman, TX until promoted to management in 1993 moving her and her family to Paris, TX. Moving to Paris, has proven to be a very successful adventure which gave her the opportunity to expand on her own, opening Lamar Loans LLC in May of 2000. Since the inception of Lamar Loans she has expanded her services to include personal tax assistance and the recent opening of a new home decor and gift store, Hometown Home Decor and Gifts.
Tammy and her two children Kacy and Chandler are active in their community. Tammy has served on the Board Of Directors for the Lamar County Chamber Of Commerce, is a member of Lamar Avenue Church Of Christ and has served as Chairman on the committee for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Kacy and his wife Kristen live in the Blossom community and Chandler attends Chisum ISD. The Huffman's enjoy camping and spending time on the lake with their Jack Russell Terrier, Wenston.

Angie and husband Mark enjoy riding motorcycles with friends; cooking and spending time with their children Andrew and Jennifer. Angies talents include scrapbooking,spoiling children and taking pictures, come by the office to see some of her work. Angie is very active in her church Calvary Baptist Church, Cooper, TX. and has perfected spoiling all of the babies in the nursery.
